Michael Andrews, DVM
Dr. Andrews is the owner and fearless leader of Woodcrest Veterinary Clinic!
Kristin Rogowicz, DVM
Dr. Rogowicz received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from Cal Poly Pomona. Staying local, she was able to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health Science in Pomona, CA. She has been working in the veterinary field for approximately 13 years now. Like many other vets, she started off her career as a veterinary assistant. It was just this year that she has gained additional work experience as a pet doctor.
Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Rogowicz enjoys listening to live music, visiting breweries and brewing at home, cooking and baking, and stay fit with yoga, weight lifting, and hiking.
Melanie Verreault, DVM
Dr. Verreault is a graduate of University at Rhode Island. Following her undergraduate studies, she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University. She began practicing in California in 2002, but settled in at Woodcrest Veterinary Clinic in 2007.
When not at work, Dr. Verreault enjoys spending time with her husband. Some of her favorite times are spent in beautiful June Lake and Alaska. Of course, she also enjoys sharing her home with four dogs and a cat.
Alice is a very dedicated, and versatile, team member. She is a graduate of Rancho Verde High. She has worked in the veterinary field for 13 years. Twelve of those years have been spent here at WVC! Alice was drawn to the veterinary field because she has always had a love for animals. She has worked in many areas of the hospital; as a receptionist, assistant, and technician. She enjoys all aspects of her job, no matter how difficult they may be. Her aspirations are to continue working in the field and become a licensed technician. She is also interested in learning about other areas of the hospital.
When not working, Alice enjoys spending time with her two children...soon to be three! She also has four-legged children. Currently, she has two dogs, two cats, and one tortoise. Her favorite hobbies include hiking, spending time at the beach, camping, and horseback riding.
Gaby is another one of our very devoted team members. She graduated from California State University San Bernardino with a B.A. in Art History. She also has an ROP certificate in Animal Health that she obtained while in high school. She started working here at Woodcrest when she was 17 years old. Fast forward 11 years and she is still a dedicated member of the WVC team! Gaby first started here as an assistant, and is now working as a technician. She continues to work in the veterinary field because she enjoys her job and caring for our patients. However, she does aspire to continue her education and pursue a master's degree or PhD in Art History. She hopes to someday teach or work in a museum.
Gaby is married but doesn't have any children. However, she and her husband have six cats that they love very much (and are their fur babies). Gaby enjoys many activities that include painting, yoga, knitting, reading, going to art museums and Disneyland.
Joyce is a highly experienced and very capable Registered Veterinary Technician. She graduated from United Health Careers in 1987. Along with her education, Joyce had to pass a comprehensive test in order to become RVT eligible. Early in her career she worked for two years at a large animal hospital, mostly on dairy cows. Joyce also spent two years working at a humane society before turning her attention to a private clinic such as ours. WVC has been her work home since July 2004.
In addition to her passion for animals, Joyce takes pleasure in several hobbies. One of her hobbies includes genealogy. She also enjoys watching her grandchildren play softball, soccer, and any other sport than may be interested in. Joyce's two-legged family includes one son and a daughter. She also has four dogs, two cats, and four chickens.
Kim is one of our seasoned technical team members. She has been working at Woodcrest as a veterinary technician since 2010, but has been a technician since 2006. Ever since she was a child she wanted to work with animals. Because of her passion for animals, she hopes one day to establish her own pet rescue. Kim feels that her job is to give animals a voice. She believes it's important to show them unconditional love, just as they show us.
Outside of work, Kim enjoys spending time with her family. She is married with twin daughters. Of course, her family wouldn't be complete without her seven pets.
Monique is a local and graduated from Martin Luther King Jr. High. Subsequently, she graduated from college with a B.S. in Sociology. Currently, Monique is in preparation of obtaining a master's degree and a teaching credential. Although she will be moving on soon to pursue other passions, Monique has been an asset to Woodcrest from her very first day back in 2014. Monique has always had a love for animals. Back in high school she took a ROP vet class which in turn inspired her to work at a veterinary clinic such as ours.
Monique has many interests when not working or studying. In her free time, she loves to go hiking, vacationing, running, swimming, and spending time reading Harry Potter books. She is a huge family girl, but also loves spending time with her boyfriend and friends. Like the rest of the team, Monique has a couple of pets as well. She has two dogs, Chewy and LG.
Veronica is a graduate of California State Polytechnic University of Pomona aka Cal Poly Pomona. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in 2014 with a major in Animal Science. She has been working in the veterinary field for approximately seven years. The last three years have been spent here at Woodcrest Vet. Veronica chose to work in the veterinary field because, when she did ROP Animal Health in high school, she was introduced to different types of animals and how to handle them. From that point on she realized she greatly enjoyed interacting with people and their pets. She enjoys working on improving the patient's health and/or understanding what illness or problem they had. Her career aspirations include going to veterinary school to become a veterinarian.
Some of Veronica's favorite hobbies and activities include going to the beach, hiking, visiting the San Diego Zoo and Sea World, line dancing, and spending time with family and friends. Currently, Veronica considers her fur babies as her children. She has two dogs, two cats, and two hermit crabs.
Brandi is another one of our very versatile team members. She is helpful in many areas of the hospital, but is especially supportive of our clients at the front desk. Brandi joined the WVC team when she was just 17 years old, and has been here now for three years. Ever since she was a little girl she always wanted to work with animals. It brings her joy to be able to do what she does here at the clinic. She looks forward to coming to work everyday! Brandi hopes to move further in this career; utilizing the knowledge and experience she has gained so far. She wants to become a certified receptionist and/or manager.
Outside from work, Brandi enjoys being outdoors and spending time with family and friends. Brandi has a young daughter. She is not only Brandi's rock, but motivates Brandi to be the best that she can be. Brandi also has four-legged babies. She has two young dogs, and both are very hyper. Her female pup is a pit bull and her male pup is a very cute husky. Both are rescue dogs.
Kristy was a registered dental assistant working facial traumas when the opportunity came along to start working in animal emergency. She has been in the veterinary field for 25 years. Twenty three of those years have been spent here at Woodcrest! Kristy enjoys working with the great clients here who love their pets, and the staff that she fully trusts with the care of each of her fur babies.
Kristy is currently owned by four cats. Yes, four cats! A collection of three orange tabbies and a sphynx. If you've spent any time with her, you've probably heard at least one of her crazy cat antic stories. When not at WVC, Kristy enjoys volunteering in the community. She reads to the elderly and records audio books for the blind and sight limited. She is also a mentor with UOAA (United Ostomy Assocation of America) for persons new to ostomies. Reading, movies, and playing video games with friends from around the world are some additional activities Kristy enjoys.
